Every year towards the autumn there is this wonderfully organized and highly unique event in the south of England, near Chichester, called the Goodwood Revival. It is organized by the large Goodwood organization and basically brings back vintage airplanes and car racing to an enthusiastic audience.
People re-enact the old days. Not only the (racing) participants with their often wonderfully restored cars, but also the visitors, dressing up in clothes of the old days.
AND there always is a large display (static AND flying) of old aircraft, warbirds and others.
Francois has been visiting Goodwood since 2003, together with his good friend and pilot Didier Keller (who provided an earlier look at the even here), and has collected thousands of pictures over time. In the Photo Essay below he aims to provide a taste of the unique atmosphere that is so typical for the autumn flying at Goodwood. Enjoy !
